Contains the 11440 characters, required for writing the Japanese language (approx. 3000 of them are the commonly-used kanjis, and approx. 100 are hiragana, and katakana).

Specification[edit]

Each character is specified by 72 (24*3) bytes, of which each series of 3 bytes represents a horizontal row of the characters (the characters are 24x24, so each row is 24 bits = 3 bytes, and there are 24 such rows per character).
